In 2007, veteran Canadian Virtual Assistant, Pam Ivey, of My Creative Assistant (a division of Visual Persuasions Canada) purchased The Canadian Virtual Assistant Network (CVAN) in order to further her goal of greatly increasing the awareness of the Virtual Assistant industry in Canada. Already a high profile industry advocate, Pam is also co-founder of the International Real Estate Assistants Association and speaks in-person and via tele-classes and seminars on the virtues of working with a VA.
CVAN was founded in January 2002 by well-known and respected Canadian Virtual Assistant, Michelle Jamison of MJVA.
CVAN has become a supportive network dedicated to the success of Canadian VA’s.
The CVAN community is made up of Virtual Assistants across Canada who have common goals:
CVAN Display at the Forum on Virtual Assistance, Toronto 2008The Canadian Virtual Assistant Network is all about building community and supporting our fellow VA’s to achieve greatness. It is also about enjoyment and providing a place where we can be ourselves and have a little fun too!
In March 2007, we took this commitment a step further and re-affirmed our passion for our members and the industry by giving CVAN a complete overhaul. Staying true to our initial vision we have enhanced our community to promote further sharing and collaboration. We have added new and updated resources, more learning opportunities and additional support networks. CVAN is better than ever!!
What CVAN is:
What CVAN is not:
CVAN Philosophy: By creating a fun and social community that is based on sharing, supporting and continued learning, we will not only assist the individual VA succeed, but ensure the longevity and on-going success of the VA profession in Canada and globally.
CVAN Mission: To create an interactive, social community based on sharing, supporting and continued learning that actively supports our member’s success.
CVAN Vision: By promoting the importance of unity and collaboration among Virtual Assistants, CVAN will have a profound impact on the success of our members and the VA profession in Canada and around the world.
Opportunity does not knock, it presents itself when you beat down the door.
