Become a CVAN Volunteer

CVAN is volunteer-driven and we are always looking for VA’s who are willing to offer a couple hours of their time to support our initiatives. CVAN volunteers are our most valued assets; they are individuals who are dedicated to supporting CVAN’s vision of unity and collaboration among Canadian VA’s. Regardless of whether they are a new VA or an established VA, we value and honor their commitment to CVAN and the VA profession. Our volunteers are simply, individuals who want to make their mark in the community.

As a gesture of appreciation and in recognition of their volunteer support they will receive:

• One month access to our Success Partners Programs ($100.00 value)
• A free enhanced directory listing ($25.00 value)
• A logo of recognition they can place on their site, for potential clients and visitors to know they play an active role in their community.

Volunteer opportunities available are:

CVAN Newsletter Contributors: If you have a flare for writing, why not contribute to our quarterly newsletter? If you have a topic that you feel our members would find useful, then we’d love to hear about it!

Forum Moderators: Are you a great organizer, do you have the ability to lead conversations, then we need your help with the CVAN forum. The Forum moderators are responsible for managing assigned forum topics and encouraging active participation.

Website Maintenance: Do you have experience in website design & maintenance? Then we have a volunteer position for you. We are constantly updating our site and need a detail-oriented VA to support us with this.

Teleclass Assistants: Our over-worked Teleclass Coordinator needs a few reliable VA’s to help with the coordination of our popular teleclasses. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is new to this method of learning and would provide you with some insight on teleclass coordination – a great service to offer your clients!

Marketing and PR support: If you are someone who loves to market or be a spokesperson, then this position may be for you. We are looking for support in all aspect of marketing and PR.

Live Event Coordinator: We would like to offer our members more in-person networking opportunities and are looking for a live event coordinator to make this happen. This volunteer position calls for a “party person” someone who enjoys the process of planning unique gatherings and who enjoys to have A LOT of fun!
